Comprehensive and Compliant Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

What Is Life Cycle Assessment?
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a proven and effective way to evaluate the environmental impacts of products, processes, and organisations.
Everyone wants to reduce environmental impacts. But it’s easy to end up just moving the problem from one part of your value chain to another – something we call ‘impact shifting’.
LCA looks at your production process from raw materials extraction to product end of life. It prevents unintended environmental consequences and ensures that the changes you make really count.
Our Approach to Comprehensive and Compliant LCAs.
Aria Sustainability follows the four step LCA process as laid out in ISO14040 and ISO 14044.
Step One - Goal and Scope Definition
We agree with you the impact categories, boundaries, results and metrics that track your progress towards meaningful and measurable goals such as packaging reductions or improved energy efficiency.
Step Two - Inventory Analysis
In collaboration with you, your suppliers and partners we gather the key data required for each stage of the assessment. The inventory includes raw materials, manufacturing, and logistics processes, product use and end of life scenarios such as disposal, recycling or reuse.
Step Three - Impact Assessment
Now we evaluate the data and perform a full impact assessment of each of the five product life cycle stages of an LCA to give you a comprehensive environmental impact profile.
Step Four - Interpretation
Finally, we analyse which aspects of the product have the greatest environmental impacts, make recommendations on ways to reduce these impacts as well as evaluating the assessment itself including its completeness and potential limitations.
Why Choose Aria Sustainability?
We have experience in sensitively conducting LCAs in a wide range of sectors and a proven track record of identifying opportunities for environmental impact reduction and data-driven decision-making for enhanced sustainability.
We also look beyond compliance and environmental impact to help organisations to use a life cycle assessment as a powerful tool for promoting eco-friendly practices, enhancing brand value, identifying cost savings, and guiding sustainable product design.
